The Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) has honored a senior officer and three hospital staff for meritorious service.
Col. Gerry Besana, Westmincom information officer, said the honorees are Col. Ismael Mandana Jr., and hospital personnel Anabel Escobar, Felina Jaugar, and Blessing Tacadena.
Besana said Mandanas received the Distinguished Service Medal for “eminently meritorious and valuable service rendered as the Assistant Chief of Unified Command Staff for Operations from July 1, 2018 to June 1, 2019”.
Besana said Mandanas, who is now assigned to the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations at the headquarters of the Philippine Army, has supported and supervised 2,255 combat operations and completed 132,320 “Bayanihan” team activities during his stint.
Escobar, Jaugar, and Tacadena, meanwhile, received a plaque of appreciation for their significant contribution to Camp Navarro General Hospital in this city. The three recently reached retirement age.
“It is touching on our part that you have recognized our loyalty, commitment, and dedication for this entire tenure. To our previous commanders, commanding officers, chief nurses, and co-employees thank you for being a part of our stories. You have become our second family,” Tacadena said.
“To our co-employees, continue to perform your jobs faithfully and diligently. You should always be a blessing and a source of inspiration to your co-employees, especially to the people who need your services,” Tacadena added.
Lt. Gen. Arnel dela Vega, Westmincom chief, led the awarding ceremony held during Monday’s flag ceremony in Camp Navarro.
Dela Vega has lauded Mandanas and the three medical personnel for their indefatigable services.
“You were integral in the accomplishment of our goals and, for that, we are grateful. I congratulate you for a job well done. You have truly served the public with such dedication,” Dela Vega said.
Meanwhile, Dela Vega has also distributed tokens to the birthday celebrants of the week.
