MALAPATAN, Sarangani Privince- a member of the terrorist group NPA voluntarily surrendered on saturday, May 5 2019 bringing along with him 2 high powered firearms.
The NPA member identified as @ jongiong, VCO, Platoon Dos, South /Central, SRC1 TALA (GF71), FSMR, resisdent of sitio lanao canpanglao, Datal bukay, Glan, surrendered to Cpl Jeffrey Lambojo (Inf) PA, detachment commander of Akbungkod TPB, sitio akbungkod, Kinam, Malapatan through the intercession of CAAs Markie Dewil and Jimmy Binaton bringing along with him two (2) carbine rifles with serial numbers 5757345 and 91665..
It can be recalled since the start of this year, four (4) NPA members already surrendered to this unit. All these surrenderees have the same grounds why they return to the folds of the law – they are all tired of fighting against the government forces couoled with hardship and the failed promises of their recruiters, and they discern the continuous operation of the govt forces thwarting their offensives.
” The govt forces is focused on defeating the CPP-NPA Terrorists as it hinders peace and security. Thus, we are reiterating our call on other NPA members to lay down their arms, surrender and avail the Enhanced Comorehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).” COL MARION T ANGCAO INF (GSC) PA, Commander, 73IB said.
” We shall continue to uohold our core purpose of serving the people and securing the land. With the support of the Local Government Unit and local officials of Sarangani Province, we can together defeat and end the CPP-NPA Terrorists evil interventions.” he added..
