SOLCOM: Commander SOLCOM, Lieutenant General Gilbert Italia Gapay. promoted

The Commander of Southern Luzon Command AFP received honors on March 7, 2019 for being promoted to the next higher rank.

Newly promoted Lieutenant General Gilbert Italia Gapay AFP is one of only three generals conferred with the next higher rank effective March 01, 2019. The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, General Benjamin R Madrigal Jr AFP, pinned his ranks on March 04, 2019.

Lt Gen Gapay is a member and top of Philippine Military Academy Class 1986. He became the 34th Commander of SOLCOM on January 15, 2019.
