IMPASUGONG, BUKIDNON – Two (2) NPA Terrorist members died after an encounter with the Army troops under 8th Infantry Battalion at vicinity Sitio Kinu-aw, Brgy Binicilan, San Luis, Agusan del Sur yesterday December 31, 2018, around 11:25 in the morning.
It was known that the two NPA terrorist member who died in the encounter a...re both males, their identity is yet to be determined as of this time. Two high powered firearms 7.62 mm M14 rifle, magazines with ammunition were also recovered in their possession.
Moreover, several NPA terrorists were perceived to wounded based on the globs of blood seen along the encounter sites and the route of their withdrawal.
It can be recalled that said troops had also encountered same NPA terrorist members last December 30, 2018, at around 04:30 in the afternoon a distance away from the current encounter site.
LTC RONALD M ILLANA, Commanding Officer of the 8th Infantry Battalion stated; “We offer our sincere condolence to the families and relatives on the death of the 2 NPA terrorists. This could not have happened if they heeded our call of surrender. Hence, I once again call upon the CPP-NPA terrorists especially those who were wounded in the recent encounters to come down and lay down your arms, we will help you seek proper medical attention along with our local officials and assist you to return to the mainstream. | 8th IB, 4ID, PA
