From Panay News (Nov 1): Suspected high-ranking rebel official arrested at Kabankalan checkpoint
A suspected member of the executive committee of the New People’s Army’s Komite sa Rehiyon-Negros was arrested at a checkpoint on Oct. 26 at 9:20 p.m. along the national road of Barangay 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Alleged rebel group Regional Education Department (RED) member Mary Grace Delecano, “alyas Cleo Karyle,” was arrested by joint elements of the Kabankalan City Police Station, 62nd Infantry Battalion (IB), Philippine Army Scout and the 604th IB by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of murder.
Judge Fernando Elumba, of Regional Trial Court Branch 61 issued the warrant of arrest dated Dec. 11, 2012.
The authorities recovered in possession of the suspect a cellular phone, a Macbook and subversive documents.
She is now in the custody of the local police.
