From GMA News (Sep 16): Abu Sayyaf frees 3 Indonesian hostages in Sulu
Three Indonesian nationals abducted by the Abu Sayyaf in Sabah, Malaysia, in 2017 have been released, according to Benjie Liwanag's report on Super Radyo dzBB on Sunday.
The three were released in Barangay Buanza in Indanan, Sulu, to the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and to former Sulu governor Abdusakur Tan.
The Indonesians, who were not identified in the report, were later on turned over to the Joint Task Force Sulu. They underwent medical examination at Camp Bautista Hospital and will undergo debriefing procedures.
Philippine authorities are now coordinating with Indonesian officials regarding the release of the three.
