Military to build shelter in country’s northernmost island

From Update Philippines (Nov 27): Military to build shelter in country’s northernmost island

The Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has unveiled the miniature replica of the fishermen’s shelter planned to be built in the northernmost island of the Philippines, Mavulis Island.

Mavulis Island also known as Y’Ami Island is part of Batanes Archipelago.

In March 2017, officers and crewmembers of BRP Ramon Alcaraz (FF16) together with stakeholders conducted a flag raising ceremony in the said island.
