DWDD: AFP Supports Decision to Stop Peace talks with CPP-NDF-NPA

From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Nov 22): AFP Supports Decision to Stop Peace talks with CPP-NDF-NPA

CAMP GEN EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) supports the decision of President Rodrigo Duterte to stop the Peace Talks with the Communist Party of the Philippines – National Democratic Front – New People’s Army (CPP-NDF-NPA).

This was the message made by AFP Chief of Staff Gen Rey Leonardo Guerrero that waas released by AFP spokesperson MGen Restituto Padilla.

The AFP also assured the public that it will continue with its mandate to protect our communities from the threat of Communist terrorist.

In the past few weeks, the NPA has been consistent with its terroristic activities, like the ambush they did last November 9 on a police vehicle in Bukidnon that killed a police officer, and unfortunately brutally killing a 4-month old child that was hit by stray bullets.

The AFP is calling on the public to support the Peace and Development efforts of the government, that was previously hampered by attacks and sabotage by the NPA’s, by depriving them of any assistance or refuge. Any information that could lead to the arrest, surrender or defeat of the communist terrorist woud a mean a difference in our fight for a more peaceful and developing nation. AFP PAO/MCAG
