From Update Philippines (Oct 12): Coast Guard activates new squadron under PCG Auxiliary 


The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has activated a new squadron under the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA). PCG Officer-In-Charge Commodore Joel S. Garcia PCG Ph.D., H.D. led the activation ceremony.

The new squadron, PCGA Medical Squadron is composed of Doctors, Nurses, Dentists and medical emergency personnel led by Captain Butch Ong.

Commodore Garcia also led the donning and oath taking ceremony of PCGA Medical Squadron’s newly appointed members.

The auxiliary squadron will be under the Coast Guard Medical Service.

“They recently joined the PCG relief, medical and dental mission of the Marawi Evacuees in Barangay Baloi, Maria Cristina Iligan City,” PCG said.
