Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Vice Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Salvador Melchor Mison on Sunday reminded cadets of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) to always protect the country and the Filipinos during the incorporation of 286 fourth class cadets in the Cadet Corps of the AFP (CCAFP).

Mison, who was guest of honor and speaker during the event, said the oath of the soldiers including the cadets of the country’s premier military academy remains the same. “Remain true to your oath because your mission remains the same.

He also told the fourth classmen to maintain a good relationship with each other. “To the upper classmen, you may be upper class now but who knows, your underclass might become your superior. “What is important is that you maintain a healthy relationship with each other,” Mison said.

The police said the country faces challenges which is varying but the mission remain the same.

Meanwhile, PMA Superintendent Lt. Gen Donato San Juan II told the parents of the cadets to support their children and ward. “The strong partnership to raise the future leaders of this country is what we need. Your faith in us, encouragement to our cadets and fervent prayers is very much needed he said.

The incorporation of the cadets is a stage in the life of PMAers where they are conferred completion of the rigid training stage from the first day during the reception in April 1 during their formal entry in the academy. Prior to incorporation, the plebe goes through the adaptation process on the cadet and military life.

Members of Class 2021 were received in the academy last April 1, 2017 with 301 aspiring cadets who joined the seven-week summer camp. There were 261 males and 40 females who arrived during the reception. From the group, 15 cadets have left the academy due to different reasons.
