From the Philippine News Agency (Sep 30): PAF in the market for PHP18.7-M worth of 'Sokol' spare parts
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is allocating the sum of PHP18,749,322 for the purchase of essential parts needed for the maintenance and repair of its W-3A "Sokol" combat utility helicopters.
Submission and opening of bids is on Oct. 7, 9 a.m. at the PAF Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
The PAF has seven W-3A "Sokol" helicopters in its inventory.
Eight were originally delivered in 2012 and 2013 but one crashed due to bad weather conditions in Lanao Del Sur in September 2014.
