President Rodrigo R. Duterte will be the guest-of-honor when
the Davao City-based Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC) celebrates its 10th
founding anniversary Friday.
Anniversary celebrations will be held at Naval Station Felix
Apolinario, Panacan, Davao
City
Head of the command, Lt. Gen. Leonardo B. Guerrero, will
lead the occasion and will receive the President with full military honors upon
his arrival at Naval Station Felix Apolinario.
The celebration, which carries the theme "Katambayayong
sa tinud-anay nga kausaban", will also be highlighted by the presentation
of awards to personnel and stakeholders who have helped the EMC accomplish its
mission.
The EMC was activated some 10 years ago following the
deactivation of the former Southern Command in Zamboanga City
