From the Philippine News Agency (Aug 23): 116 housing units distributed to military, police in Bukidnon

Government troops of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Northern Mindanao were awarded housing units Tuesday.

Police Supt. Surki A. Sereñas, the police regional spokesperson in Northern Mindanao, said that 116 housing units in Barangay Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon were drawn in a raffle among 1,388 benefactors from the AFP and PNP in the region.

Alae, a village 29 kilometers southeast of Cagayan De Oro City, is located along the Sayre Highway, in the border of Cagayan De Oro and Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

Sereñas said that the project site is located in Mountain Breeze Residences, Barangay San Isidro, Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon with a total land area of 92, 022 square meters or 9.2 hectares.

Each unit has a floor area of 20 square meters in a 40-square meter lot area, he said.

According to Sereñas, the awarding of the housing units was the third batch in line with the Letter of Instruction (LOI 50/2012) known as the Implementation and Awarding of P-Noy Housing Project Phase 2.

The awarding of the first batch housing units was held on February 4, 2015 where 315 out of 375 units were distributed and 10 units were given to each benefactors on June 29, 2016 during the second batch of distribution.

Sereñas said that any AFP or PNP personnel, regardless of rank, could avail of the housing program at a minimal monthly amortization set by the National Housing Authority (NHA).
