The militant League of Filipino Students (LFS) has denounced
City Mayor Oscar Moreno’s idea of allowing the Lumbia airport here as facility

In an interview with the local media, Kristine Cabardo, the
LFS chair for Northern Mindanao, said that that Moreno

“We call on the youth not to put into waste what our heroes
have gallantly fought for. Together with all nationalist and patriotic Filipino

Cabardo urges the youth to unite and defend national
sovereignty, living up to the challenge of our national heroes who fought hard
for our freedom and independence.

The League of Filipino Students (LFS)is a radical Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) student front organization with chapters active at college and university campuses throughout the country. The group is also a member of the main CPP multisectoral, umbrella front organization the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN-New Patriotic Alliance).
