The suspected ASG kidnapper was identified as as Arasad Saidjuwan/Arasad Amin Sahid, also known as Abu Ayob or Abu Mara/Amama.
A notorious Abu Sayyaf kidnapper was arrested by combined PNP elements just meters away from the Zamboanga City Hall on Thursday morning (December 3).
Chief Insp. Joel Tuttuh, spokesperson of the Zamboanga City Police Office, identified the suspect as Arasad Saidjuwan/Arasad Amin Sahid, also known as Abu Ayob or Abu Mara/Amama.
The suspect was arrested by police during a joint law enforcement operations Thursday at 9:30 a.m. along Valderrosa Street.
Tuttuh said that the suspect is a known Abu Sayyaf member reported to have participated in the kidnapping incident in Tairan, Basilan.
Saidjuwan has a standing warrant of arrest for kidnapping and serious illegal detention under Criminal Case 3570 issued by Judge Leo Principe of the Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 1, Isabela, Basilan.
