Photo: Quick Rally

From the often pro-CPP Davao Today (Dec 16): Photo: Quick Rally

At least five trucks and three Lawin-type public utility jeepneys (PUJ) loaded with paramilitary men from tribal communities pass by the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), Haran compound, Fr. Selga Street, Davao City on Tuesday morning. The apparent show of force happened in the area where hundreds of Lumad evacuees are staying for almost nine months now. The paramilitary men called for justice for their Lumad leaders who were allegedly killed by the New People's Army (NPA). (Medel V. Hernani/davaotoday.com)

  1. Words have meaning and to characterize the participants in this rally as "paramilitary men" is not justified based on the photo. The protesters do not appear to be in uniform and are not armed. It is difficult to see how the Davao Today arrived at that conclusion. But then again, that's how commie propaganda works.
