Body of beheaded ASG Malaysian victim found in Sulu

From the Philippine News Agency (Dec 15): Body of beheaded ASG Malaysian victim found in Sulu

Operatives of the Joint Task Group Sulu have recovered the alleged headless body of Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) Malaysian kidnap victim Berrnard Then Ted Fen during operations in Parang town, Sulu Monday evening.

Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, Joint Task Group Sulu commander, said recovery of the beheaded body took place at 10 p.m. in the vicinity of Sitio Lungon-Lungon, Barangay Lanao Dakula, Parang.

When asked on who helped them locate the body, Arrojado said that "it is our moral responsibility to locate and give it to the family (of) the victim."

Arrojado said the remains were immediately transported to the Kutang Heneral Teodulfo Bautista Trauma Hospital in Jolo for processing.

Ted Fen was abducted together with Thien Nyuk Fun last May 14 in Sandakan, Malaysia by Sulu-based ASGs.

It is believed that the victim was beheaded last Nov. 17 by captors headed by Alhabsy Misaya and Idang Susukan.

His head was later found placed inside a sack in Barangay Walled City, Jolo, Sulu.
