From the Philippine Information Agency (Nov 27): Army’s medical mission benefit 550 pupils

CAMP MELCHOR DELA CRUZ, Gamu, Isabela -- At least 550 pupils here received health care services from a medical and dental mission sponsored by the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class 1982, in collaboration with the 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army and the local government here.

Captain Maricel Parra, Public Affairs Office chief of the 5th ID, said the medical mission is in support of the 23rd National Children’s Month celebration with the theme “Bata, Kasali ka, Ikaw ay Mahalaga”!.

“We have offered free medical and dental services including supplementary feeding, distribution of slippers,medicines and books to school children of Songsong Elementary School and Camp Melchor Dela Cruz Elementary School here,” she said.

Major General Lysander Suerte, 5ID, PA commanding officer and member of PMA Class ’82, said this is a joint effort with their partners who never fail to provide assistance in delivering basic services to the residents

“We are pleased to have our partners in reaching out to our young leanners here,” Suerte added.
