From the Philippine News Agency (Jul 7): Rizal declared 'Conflict Manageable and Ready for Further Development'

Showing proof that rebel strength in the countryside is now on the decline, Rizal Province was declared "Conflict Manageable and Ready for Further Development" Monday.

The event took place 2 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Ynares Center Complex, Antipolo City.

Rizal Gov. Rebecca Ynares expressed her thanks to the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police and other stakeholders in promoting peace and development in the province.

During the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) certifying Rizal's "Conflict Manageable and Ready for Further Development" status, Ynares said that they will ensure that all parties concerned shall be united and undertake the responsibility in sustaining internal peace and security operations in the province.

Southern Luzon Command head Lt. Gen. Ricardo R. Visaya expressed his gratitude to Rizal provincial officials and residents for their active involvement and participation in sustaining peace and development within their province.
