  1. There have been several of these type of drive-by attacks on Philippine soldiers recently. Most have been attributed to the renegade Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement. (BIFM). The group's spokesperson, Abu Misry Mama, has confirmed that the BIFM carried out the attacks. Therefore, it seems likely that the BIFM may well be behind this attack.
