The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has
denied reports that a commercial plane has crashed in Sultan Kudarat on Sunday.
Radio reports noted that that a commercial plane allegedly
crashed in the said town at around 11 am.
CAAP deputy director general Rodante Joya, in a radio
interview, said that all commercial planes to the destination have been
accounted for.
Similarly, low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific also said in an
announcement posted on its website that all its planes have been accounted for.
“No Cebu Pacific flight is involved in a reported incident
in Sultan Kudarat today. All Cebu Pacific flights are accounted for,” the
airline company said.
At present, local authorities in Sultan Kudarat still
verifying reports of a plane crash in the area.
