Five newly-promoted generals of the Armed Forces of the
Philippines (AFP) officially donned their new ranks during flag-raising
ceremonies at Camp Aguinaldo , Quezon
City
The event was headed by AFP chief-of-staff Gen. Gregorio Pio
Catapang.
Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin donned the new rank badges
to Major Gen. Arnoldo M. Quiapo, Commodore Ernesto C. Enriquez, Brig. Gen. Joel
D. Celino, Brig. Gen. Frederick Evans L. Ramos, and Brig. Gen. Librado B. Moog.
During the same ceremony, the National Disaster Risk
Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) under the leadership of Defense
Undersecretary Alexander P. Pama led the kick-off ceremony for National
Disaster Consciousness Month which is celebrated every July.
