From ABS-CBN (Dec 30): Soldiers in Sulu attacked
SULU – A still unidentified group of men opened fire at a group of soldiers in Patikul, Sulu.
Colonel Allan Arrojado of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Task Force Sulu said members of Scout Rangers Class 191 were on their way to Jolo for some administrative matters when around seven armed men fired at them.
The incident took place at around 8:30 a.m. No one was hurt in the incident.
The soldiers were able to regain control of the area after a 10-minute firefight.
Arrojado advised soldiers in Sulu to be proactive at all times.
