From ABS-CBN (Nov 13): BIFF denies hand in Bukidnon bus explosion
The Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) denied any role in the November 6 bus explosion in Barangay Dolongon, Maramag in Bukidnon.
BIFF spokesman Abumissry Mama, in a phone interview, said they have not yet investigated the incident.
The provincial police office of Bukidnon tagged the BIFF in the explosion after some of the bus passengers identified one of the suspects.
However, the BIFF said authorities should first conduct a deeper investigation before pointing fingers.
Mama admitted, however, that they have supporters and armed men in Bukidnon.
The BIFF is a breakaway group of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
The MILF has struck a peace deal with the Aquino government and is waiting for Congress to approve the Bangsamoro Basic Law.
