From InterAksyon (Oct 14): PNP names US Marine suspect in transgender's killing
The Philippine National Police named on Tuesday the US Marine identified as a suspect in the killing of Filipino transgender Jeffrey Laude in Olongapo City over the weekend, radio reports said.
PNP spokesman Senior Superintendent Wilben Mayor named the suspect as Private First Class Joseph Scott Pemberton of the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines.
A report from Olongapo police director Senior Superintendent Pedrito delos Reyes said the American was "positively identified" by witness Mark Clarence Gelviro from a "photo line-up" provided by the US Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
