ISLAMIC MILITANTS and Abu Sayyaf (ASG) bandits continue to conduct joint training in urban guerilla warfare in an undisclosed location in Central Mindanao, a source from the intelligence community disclosed on Monday.

The source, who uses the codename Pokemon, said the training of the ASG and the shadowy Khilafa Islamiya Movement (KIM) is being supervised by a foreign terrorist.

The source earlier identified the supervisor as Abdurahman, a Saudi Arabian, who is married to a Tausug woman.

The KIM and the ASG earlier pledged their allegiance to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a jihadist group that took huge territories in the Middle East after the collapse of the Iraqi army in 2012.

“We still don’t know the purpose of their training and for what reasons they are training for,” the source said.
