CAMP BANCASI, Butuan City – An Army soldier was killed while three others were wounded in an encounter with the New People’s Army (NPA) last Thursday in Lucat, Barangay Cawayan, Quezon, Bukidnon.

Reports from the 10th Infantry (Agila) Division identified the fatality as Private First Class Trevoc C. Lacar who died in a hospital. The wounded were Privates First Class Rolando M. “Villagers in Lucat area and neighboring barangays reported to pursuing government soldiers that they saw undetermined numbers of NPA casualties as they retreated after the fierce gunbattle,” Capt. Nesty Carolina, spokesman of the 10th Agila Division, said.
