From the Manila Bulletin (Jun 20): Top NPA leader nabbed in Benguet

A top leader of the New People’s Army (NPA) was arrested in Sitio Tabangaoen, Barangay Balili, La Tinidad, Benguet last June 11.

Supt. Davy Vicente Limmong identified the NPA leader as Corsio Ganima aka “Tribal/Toy-ob”, 55, commanding officer of the NPA’s Kilusang Larangang Guerilla of the Ilocos – Cordillera Region Committee (ICRC) operating in Abra, Mountain Province and Ilocos Sur.

Limmong confirmed that Ganima was one of the most wanted NPA leader in the country and has a P1.8 million reward for this capture.

Ganima was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of six counts of murder issued by Judge Artemeo Marero of Branch 35 Regional Trial Court, Bontoc, Mt. Province. He also faces a rebellion case.
