From the Philippine News Agency (Jun 18): Newly-appointed Northern Luzon Command chief visits 5th ID

Newly-appointed Northern Luzon Command chief Major Gen. Felicito Virgilio M. Trinidad, Jr. paid a visit to 5th Infantry Division headquarters in Gamu, Isabela last Tuesday.

Trinidad who formally installed as Northern Luzon Command head last Monday.

During his visit, Trinidad was met by 5th Infantry Division commander Major Gen. Benito Antonio De Leon, his officers and enlisted personnel.

The visit intends to familiarize the new Commander on the current situation in the region.

It was also an opportunity to personally interact not only to the troops on the ground but also to the local government officials and other stakeholders in the area.

In his message, Trinidad said that he is confident that the star troopers will ultimately win the peace in their area of operation because of their dedication and commitment in actively pursuing the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Internal Security Plan “Bayanihan”.

He exhorted the troops to continue giving excellent service to the people of Northern Luzon in pursuit of peace and development.

The newly installed Northern Luzon Commander is an accomplished officer and was the commander of 1st Infantry Division based in Western Mindanao prior his appointment.
