Brigadier General Romeo Gan was installed on Tuesday as the commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Civil Relations Service, replacing Brigadier General Rolando Jungco, who retired the same day.

On the other hand, Brigadier General Edmundo Pangilinan took over the Army’s 6th Infantry Division based in Awang, Maguindanao in turnover ceremonies Monday, replacing retired Major General Romeo Gapuz.

Gan and Pangilinan are both members of Philippine Military Academy “Matikas” Class 1983.

Gan was former assistant deputy commander of the 6th ID and had also previously been assigned to the CRS for 10 years before being named commander of the 12th Infantry Battalion.

Pangilinan, on the other hand, used to command the 601st Infantry Brigade, which is under the 6th ID.
