Army
soldiers from the Zamboanga del Sur-based 1st Infantry Division are now
conducting hot pursuit operations against the lawless elements who abducted a
27-year-old businessman in Barangay Poblacion, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte
Wednesday night.
Capt.
Jefferson Mamauag, 1st ID spokesperson, said the incident took place at around
7 p.m. at a Petron gas station in Siocon town.
Mamauag
said that the suspects, who were aboard a maroon-colored KIA sports car,
suddenly arrived, dragged the victim, Manuel Co, at gunpoint and quickly
motored to the direction of Barangay Labaton, also in Siocon town.
