From the Manila Times (Nov 4): Ranking NPA member nabbed in CARAGA region
Operatives have arrested over the weekend a ranking member of the New People’s Army (NPA) blamed from some deadly attacks against government forces in Eastern Mindanao region, police reports said on Monday.
Reports at the Philippine National Police operations center in Camp Crame on Monday identified the arrested ranking rebel as Archie Salvan alias Jack/Brix and Kumander Kuyos, a staff member of the NPA’s North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee.
The reports said that Salvan was nabbed by combine police operatives based on a warrant of arrest issued by the courts late Saturday afternoon at his residence on Purok-4B, Barangay Bucac, Bayugan City, Agusan de Sur.
