The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is inviting interested and qualified individuals to join the Philippine Army (PA) as it announced the schedules for the conduct of the PA Aptitude Test Battery (PAATAB) in the region.

First Infantry Division commander, Brig. Gen. Felicito Virgilio Trinidad, said the hiring of new personnel, either as enlisted personnel and officers, is in line with the PA Recruitment Plan 2013.

Trinidad said the PAATAB is for Candidate Soldier, PA Officer, and PA Officer Preparatory Course.

Trinidad said the PAATAB will be conducted at the headquarters of the 1st Infantry Division in Pulacan, Labangan town in this province and in other areas that fall part of the division’s area of responsibility.

The schedules and venues of the PAATAB are as follows: Nov. 7, Iligan City; Nov. 9 and 10, Pulacan, Labangan; Nov. 12 and 13, Zamboanga City; Nov. 14, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay; Nov. 16 and 17, Dipolog City; and Nov. 8 in Ozamis City.

Trinidad said the applicants must be unmarried Filipino citizen; physically and mentally fit; has no pending case in any court; and has a minimum height of five feet.

Specifically, Trinidad said the applicants for the Candidate Soldier must be 18 to 26 years old and at least a high school graduate with skills; while applicants for PA Officers must be 21 to 24 years old and a graduate of any four-year college course.

On the other hand, applicants for the PA Preparatory Course must be between 21 to 31 years old, graduate of Military Science-43 (MS-43) or advance Reserve Officers Training Course (ROTC) and a graduate of any four-year college course.

Trinidad advised the applicants to bring their National Statistics Office (NSO)-certified birth certificates, Form 137 or report card for high school graduates; transcript of records in the case of college graduates; and a valid identification card on the day of the exam.

The PAATAB will be administered by the Army Personnel Management Center.
