From the MILF Website (Nov 7): Kiamba-Ayah conducts values transformation training
The Agency for Youth Affairs (AYA) in Kiamba, Sarangani Province conducted Values Transformation Training for Bangsamoro Youth held at BDA-CLC, Brgy. Lagundi from November 01-02, 2013. The two-day activity was held with night session that involved workshops to enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills and help them become good leaders in the future.
The program was aimed to instill in the minds of the participants the importance of application of Islamic Values on their daily lives as it paves the way for social and spiritual development of Muslims.
Values transformation is also one of the programs of the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) for building good people who will build better nations.
The objective of the training was to address the increasing adherence to un- Islamic practices, activities and system, the decline in the practice of Islamic values, ethics and morality , and the deplorable condition of many Bangsamoro communities which are shying away from Islamic Values and practices.
The 41 participants are members of the AYA-Kiamba, representatives from different barangays of the municipality as well as some AYA members from Municipality of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat province.
The participants expressed their gratitude for the conduct of the activity as it helped them realized their role as Muslims. They were also enlightened during the sessions and workshops facilitated by the AYA-Kiamba municipal chairman and Ustadz Mohamad Taha Gafour, a member of BDA Board of Directors.
The program was supported by the MILF Political Committee, local LGUs and the Associated Youth for Good Governance (AYGG), Inc.
