From the Philippine News Agency (Nov 7): Naval Forces Southern Luzon prepositions relief goods for possible victims of typhoon 'Yolanda'

Naval Forces Southern Luzon, the Philippine Navy unit tasked to secure the waters of Southern Tagalog region, has pre-positioned 10,000 sacks of rice and 35,000 packs of relief goods in various municipalities of Albay in preparation for the possible adverse effects of super typhoon "Yolanda."

This was announced by PN spokesperson Lt. Cmdr. Gregory Fabic who said that they were aided in this endeavor by civilian volunteers and other members of the uniformed services.

Transfer of these emergency supplies took place Wednesday night, Fabic said, adding that the Naval Forces Southern Luzon has now made the necessary coordination with various local government units for disaster mitigation.
