The Philippine Army's 2nd and 9th Infantry Divisions based in Tanay, Rizal and Pili, Camarines Sur respectively held their first ever Regional Youth Leadership Summit (RYLS) last Oct. 18-22.
A total 120 delegates from 2nd Infantry Division and 200 from 9th Infantry Division participated in the simultaneous RYLS in their respective regions.
They were then brought to Metro Manila for an educational visit Oct. 21-22.
Highlights of the program included wreath laying ceremony at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on Oct. 22 to commemorate the heroism of fallen soldiers.
On the same day, a team building activity at the Headquarters Philippine Army Grandstand followed.
The RYLS is an initiative to engage the youth and help them become responsible citizens and advocates of the government’s peace and development programs.
