PAF inks pact with Quezon power plant for joint rescue operations

From the Philippine News Agency (Apr 6): PAF inks pact with Quezon power plant for joint rescue operations

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has forged an agreement with a power plant station in Quezon province, a public-private sector partnership for joint rescue operations in times of emergencies, calamities and other unexpected events.

Quezon Power Plant Station Manager and Team Energy head Hilarion Medrano signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the PAF Tactical Operations Group IV in Pagbilao, Quezon recently.

Under the MOU, Medrano said the power plant’s resources, materials and equipment would be used during joint rescue operations with the PAF.

The agreement also calls for sharing of information and updates during calamities and disasters.

For its part, the PAF is tasked to provide airlift support at the Pagbilao power plant particularly if lives are endangered and their properties are at risk in case of an industrial disaster and other emergencies.
