At least 5 people were reported injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated in Lanao del Norte on Monday, February 4.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said the IED attack happened at the Ysmael Restaurant in Purok G-A of Poblacion, Tubod town at around 11:05 in the morning.
Initial police reports say the IED was installed on a motorcycle, the NDDRMC said.
The wounded were identified as Saipoden Omar Bucay, Judith Padilla Gomez, Pamel Dalman, Cherrie Molina Barnaldez, and Peter de la Vega.
All victims are presently receiving proper medical treatment at the Lanao del Norte Integrated Provincial Health Office.
Local authorities are still conducting investigation in the area to identify the perpetrators and the motive behind the incident.
