From the Philippine News Agency (Jan 21): 9 persons hurt in Iligan City EID blast

Nine persons were injured when an improvised bomb exploded near a pawnshop in Iligan City on Monday morning, police said. Iligan City police chief Senior Superintendent Raul Diones said that they are verifying information the improvised explosive was attached to a bicycle. Diones said they are still looking for leads that would help them determine the motive for the explosion. The explosion caused tension among residents in the area, the police official said. Those injured, whom police have yet to identify, were immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
