President Benigno S. Aquino III administered the oath of office of military officials in Malacanang ceremonies Monday. The Chief Executive, accompanied by Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, swore in Lt. Gen. Noel A. Coballes, a member of the Philippine Military Academy class 1980, as Armed Forces Vice Chief of Staff.

 The President also swore in Lt. Gen. Gregorio E. Macapagal, the Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP; Vice Admiral Jose Luis M. Alano, commander of the Central Command; Lt. Gen. Rey C. Ardo, commander of the Western Mindanao Command;  Maj Gen Marlou S. Salazar, Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs J9; Rear Admiral Wenefredo B. Banua, Chief of the AFP-Resource Management Office; Maj Gen Alan R. Luga, commander of the Southern Luzon Command; Maj Gen Ricardo Rainier G.
