Nabawi ng pinagsanib na pwersa ng 2nd Mechanized Infantry (Makasag) Battalion at 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company ng Maguindanao del Sur Police Provincial Office.Ayun kay Maj. Gen. Rillera, hindi maituturing na isang kultura ang “Rido” dahil nagiging dahilan lang ito para mag-gantihan ang mga nag-aaway na grupo. Mas makabubuti aniya kung ipapaubaya sa umiiral na batas ang pangyayari.
“Hindi naman talaga naging kultura itong “Rido”, gantihan lang ito. Hindi ito dapat maging kultura na kapag may namatay ay papatay ka rin. Hindi tama iyon, ilagay natin sa tamang proseso”, wika pa ni Maj. Gen. Rillera.
Sa pagtutulungan ng AFP-PNP-LGU ay tinugunan ng 6ID at JTF Central ang sitwasyon alang-alang sa taumbayan at inosenteng sibilyan na nakakaranas ng pagdurusa bunga ng sigalot sa dalawang magkaalitang paksyon at para maiwasan na rin ang paglala ng kalagayang pang seguridad sa lugar.
“Ginampanan natin ang ating mandato para agarang maibsan ang tensyon alang-alang sa taumbayan at mga inosenteng sibilyan na nakararanas ng pagdurusa dahil sa nangyayaring kaguluhan. We will always secure peace and with the PNP, LGU and peace loving people, we will always be together for peace”, dagdag na pahayag ng 6ID at JTF Central Commander.

AFP-PNP seized war equipment in Maguindanao del Sur
Recovered by the joined forces of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry (Makasag) Battalion and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of Maguindanao del Sur Police Provincial Office.
According to Maj. Gen. Rillera, "Rido" cannot be considered a culture because it just becomes a reason for the fighting groups to retaliate. He'd better leave the event to the existing law.
“This “Rido” wasn’t really a culture, it was just revenge. It shouldn't be a culture that if someone dies you kill them too. That is not right, let's put it in the right process", said Maj. Gen. Rillera.
With the cooperation of AFP-PNP-LGU, 6ID and JTF Central responded to the situation for the citizens and innocent civilians who are suffering as a result of the conflict between the two factions and also to avoid the deterioration of the security situation in the area.
“We have fulfilled our mandate to immediately alleviate the tension for the sake of the citizens and innocent civilians who are experiencing suffering because of the ongoing chaos. We will always secure peace and with the PNP, LGU and peace loving people, we will always be together for peace”, added the statement of 6ID and JTF Central Commander.
