CAMP HERNANDEZ, Dingle, Iloilo—A former rebel from the Municipality of Calinog, Iloilo received Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program or E-CLIP assistance from the National Government on Monday, July 12, 2021.
The former rebel known as @Princess received a total amount of Php 65,0000: Php 15,000 immediate assistance and Php 50,000 for livelihood assistance.
Likewise, a Former Rebel from Dumarao, Capiz received Php 10,000 pesos from the Provincial Government of Capiz. Governor Esteban Evan Contreras handed over the financial assistance as part of the province’s peace initiatives thru the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office-Capiz to aide Capiznon former rebels.
E-CLIP is the flagship program of President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration that seeks to effect social healing and national unity through a whole-of-nation approach towards genuine, just, and lasting peace. It provides social equity to former members of the CPP-NPA-NDF and the Militia ng Bayan to reintegrate them into mainstream society. These benefits do not serve as an end but rather, a means to aid the Former Rebels in starting their lives anew.“Ako ay nagpapasalamat sa tulong ng gobyerno sa akin, lalo na sa tulong pinansyal.
Brigadier General added.
