BALER, Aurora – 1 supporter and 2 members CPP-NPA are now under validation following their surrender to the government troops according to a top military official in this province.

Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew P. Rubio, Commander, 91st Infantry “Sinagtala” Battalion (91IB), Philippine Army said that the government troops intelligence build-up and intensified operation resulted in the surrender of alias Marvin/Rexon, a former squad leader of Squad Dos, Regional Sentro de Gabridad (RSDG), Komiteng Larangang Guerrilla Quirino-Nueva Vizcaya (KLG Q-NV), Komiteng Probinsya Isabela Komiteng Rehiyon Cagayan Valley (KOMPROB ISABELA, KR-CV) and former member of Sangay sa Yunit Propaganda (SYP) of the Central Front, KR-CV in Barangay Calabuanan, Aurora.

He also added that a former Chairman of Aurora Justice and Peace Action Group (JPAG) also surrendered to the operatives of Alpha Company, of 91IB led by 1st Lieutenant Jevie J. Sagragao together with Dingalan Municipal Police Station led by Police Executive Master Sergeant (PEMS) Manuel Roldan P. Gonzales and LGU Dingalan headed by Mayor Shierwin H. Taay, in line with the implementation of the municipal task force to end the local communist armed conflict (MTF ELCAC) held at Municipal Hall, Barangay Poblacion, Dingalan, Aurora.

“The series of withdrawal of support and surrender of former NPAs manifest that the implementation of PTF-ELCAC is proven to be effective. ” Rubio said. He further explained that this successful accomplishment shows the continuous weakening of CPP-NPA through the loss of
support from the communities.

“Their surrender to the government and withdrawal of support from the terrorist group will save people from harm and hostile activities brought by the CPP-NPA-NDF,” Rubio said.
