ISABELA CITY, Basilan Province – Fifty-three new Cafgu Active Auxiliary (CAA) recruits successfully graduated from the Basic Military Training (BMT) conducted by the 4th Special Forces Battalion here in Barangay Cabunbata last Tuesday, 22 December 2020,and will be incorporated as additional security forces in the province.

The BMT Class 21-2020, with the class name ‘KAMANDAG’ or Kawal ng Mamamayan Na may Dignidad At Galing, is composed of fifty males and three females who underwent the forty-five days rigorous military training, which prepared them to be readily deployed in both combat and non-combat operations.

Lieutenant Colonel Alex Ampati, the Commanding Officer of 4th Special Forces Battalion, takes pride of the discipline and commitment that the new CAA graduates have shown during their training and ensures the public of the military’s unrelenting effort in sustaining the peace and order.

“The discipline and skill shown by our CAAs proves their dedication to serving the people. And now, our forces have increased even more to maintain peace and security in our province. ”, Lieut.-Colonel Ampati said.

Hon. Roderick H. Furigay, the Vice Mayor of Lamitan City, was invited as the guest speaker during the closing ceremony. In his speech, he praised the military for successfully administering the training to the CAAs, as well as their selfless dedication in serving the people of Basilan. (4SFBN/7)
