MAKILALA,COTABATO – Three former members of the Communist Terrorist Group receive cash assistance from Local Government Unit of Columbio, Sultan Kudarat during the month-long serbisyo caravan today November 20, 2020.
The influx of surrendering members to government forces is a clear manifestation of the successful implementation of the President’s EO 70 in the municipality paired with overflowing support of the Local Government Units of Columbio headed by Mayor Edwin Bermudez, dedicated municipal department heads and the 39th Infantry Battalion.
Mayor Bermudez said “We pledge our commitment to adopt the principles, implement policies, plans and programs that will address the root causes of insurgency.”
“To our deceived brothers who still believe in the baseless armed struggles initiated by terrorist groups, we encourage you to step down and take part of the government’s projects and programs. It’s never too late for change.” LTC Carandang, Commander of the 39IB said.
