CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Sept. 2 (PIA) - The 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army based in Gamu town has deployed some of its new junior officers and enlisted personnel to various army units.

Maj. Gen. Laurence Mina, 5ID, PA commander led the deployment held at the camp’s covered court on Aug. 31.

Mina said a total of 19 2nd Lieutenants and 456 newly enlisted soldiers were deployed in various areas in the area of operations of 5ID, PA in Cagayan Valley to include the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

He said the deployment signifies the trust and confidence of the command in their capability and capacity to carry out their mandated tasks.

“Fellow Startroopers, let us always remain on the guard in maintaining our fighting stance at all times. I enjoin you to wholeheartedly embrace the world of military professionals,” Mina said.

He advised them to always give their best shot, have the courage to withstand any danger, have the commitment to serve and the confidence needed in everything they do.

“Master the art of staying cool under extreme pressure. Let us always perform our duties with pride and excellence,” Mina said. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
