Two alleged officials of the New People’s Army (NPA) were arrested by authorities in Tolosa, Leyte.
Arrested were Alden Dagohoy, 33, squad leader of the NPA in Northern Samar province, and his common-law wife Alma Gabin, 34, an education staff and a former secretary of the provincial white area committee.
The couple was collared inside their house in Barangay Burak on Monday by virtue of warrants of arrest issued by the regional trial court in Laoang, Northern Samar for murder with no bail recommended, and frustrated murder with a bail bond set at P80,000.

Authorities were able to recover from their possession a caliber .45 loaded with ammunition.
It was learned that the couple had settled in the area since December 2019, and availed of the P5,000 cash assistance from the social amelioration program (SAP) of the national government.
They were tracked by intelligence officers of the 802nd Army Infantry Brigade and the Tacloban City Police Intelligence Unit.
