Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas, ANAKBAYAN and ANAKPAWIS have long been identified as legal fronts of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and also serve as recruitment ground for the New People’s Army, CPP's armed wing.

Nagkahiusang Mag-Uuma sa Pindasan og Pangibiran” (NAGMAPPA) withdrew their support from the leftist KMP and expressed their dismay towards the failed promises of the organization such as tracts of land.
