DWDD: 33rd Infantry Battalion bids goodbye to indigenous people prior to Change of Command

Lt. Col. Harold M Cabunoc, the outgoing Commander of the 33rd Infantry (Makabayan) Battalion, bids goodbye to the indigenous people of Sto Nino village in Bagumbayan, Kudarat and in Sitio Datal Bonglangon, Barangay Ned, Lake Sebu four days prior to his Change of Command ceremony.

In his message to the people, he assured them that the new leadership of the 33IB will sustain the gains in the campaign against the communist terrorists by facilitating the delivery of essential ser...vices.

The aforementioned villages were once 'guerilla bases' of the communist East Daguma Front of the Daguma Sub Region Party Committee (formerly known as GF 73) until in March 2018.

Employing civil support operations and intelligence-driven coercive combat operations, the Makabayan Battalion and the PNP SAF were able to defeat the communist terrorists in the area.

At least 90 communist surrenderees came from the AO of the East Daguma Front. | 33rd IB
