Four alleged members of the terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group were killed, while five others were injured in a firefight with the military in Patikul, Sulu.
The 20-minute clash in Barangay Igasan on Thursday, February 14, also wounded two soldiers from the 6th Special Forces Battalion, Brig. Gen. Divino Rey Pabayo, the Joint Task Force Sulu Commander.
He said the two militants died on the spot while the two others passed away due to blood loss.
Meanwhile, Sergeant Allan Bambino Caday and Sergeant Wilfredo Flores, who were both wounded in the incident, were discharged from confinement at Kuta Heneral Teodulfo Bautista Hospital, Pabayo said.
